What's Knowledge?

Knowledge- for some that may be just mugging up everything. For some that may be a tool to make their own futures. For some that may be gathering as many ways as possible to earn money in their futures. There are different definitions of knowledge for different people. Is knowledge only a tool to be WEALTHY and SUCCESSFUL in your life? Well, my definition of knowledge is a little different. Someone may say ,"Do you know that Gandhiji was born on 2 October, 1869 and died on 30 January, 1948? No? Well then, I have much more knowledge than you." I say to him,"You know when Gandhiji lived and died. You know when he started the Quit India Movement. But, do you take his life to your life? Do you know that he was able to free India from slavery without using arms while the 3 wars of independence could not do so? Well, I saw you this morning bullying one of your juniors!" I believe that knowledge is adopting the GOOD that we learn and pushing away the BAD that tries to enter us. In this way, we will be very much able to distinguish between the WRONG and RIGHT. Through your knowledge, you should serve your society and country in your own way. Albert Einstein once said,"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." We can also say,"Only the knowledge that is used to serve others(in a good way) is real knowledge and power."

Save my nature, oh beings!

This is a poem specially posted for the World Environment Day

When I see the nature's fury,
In each violent storm,
In each scorching hot day,
In each freezing wind,
In each season, I fear,
Whether my lovely earth
Will be destroyed today.
Whether the planet where I was born,
Will turn to ashes.
Just because my fellow beings,
Do not take enough care of it.
Just because they keep on using,
The minutest resources we have.
Just because they kill the nature,
To keep alive their luxury.
Just because they keep burning,
Black gases, dissolving into air.
Just because they are driving fuel cars,
Which spit out dirty gases.
Just because they use fridges and AC's,
Which release harmful CFC's.

Oh! Sons of Adam & Eve,
Can't you just omit some
Of your wrong-doings?
So that my dear planet Earth,
Would atleast live a few hundred years more!

The 26/11 Blasts

The deafening sound of the bombs,
Which placed many lives in their tombs.
Which took many innocent lives.
It did not leave anybody to strive.

Many innocent people died,
And for them, their unconsolable mothers cried.

The cruel terrorists killed,
And their mothers also had their eyes filled.

'Cause their sons had left their homes,
To place many lives in their tombs.
To folloew the cruel path,
Upon them came cruelty's wrath.

Oh!You cruel terrorists!
Why do you let the devil take your test?
You cruelly killed your dear brothers,
And cry for them their unconsolable mothers

Complex

Throughout my days I think,
How incomplete my life is.
At school, a t home, at church,
Everywhere its just the same.

When I see my friend,
Showing off his expensive watch,
I ask myself and my creator,
"Why only him, why not me?"

When I walk back home,
And still see my Classmate,
Going back home in his luxurious Porche,
I ask myself and my creator,
"Why only him, why not me?"

When I run into the field,
And drop in a puddle,
And see everyone make a joke of me,
I ask myself and my creator,
"Why not them, why only me?"

When I walk along an empty lane,
Pondering about what rubbish life is.
I see two speeding cars coming,
And then they crash into each other.

What I see next is three bloody bodies,
A man, a woman and their child.
I am left widemouthed,
I can still see visions of me being in one of them,
And being flattened to a blood-red pancake.

I can't ask, I can't utter,
"Why not me?" or"Why just me?"
I can just look up to heaven,
And see what a lovely day God has given me.
The sky is a beauty,
The trees' leaves are greener,
And life is completely full of Blessings.

Save Water

Millions of years ago in the lab of the Creator,
He was thinking of making something new.
He looked at his glass test tube,
He saw that it was as empty as a cube.
Then he looked at his droppers,
He thought, but couldn't find answers.

He took a dropper filled with Oxygen gas,
He put one atom in a glass.
He then took a yellow dropper of Hydrogen gas.
He put one atom in the glass.
But accidentally fell another.

The solution choked and bubbled,
And what was left was colourless and odourless.
The Creator thought what to name it.
He felt it with his hands,
And his hands became wet.
He thought: 'wet; wetter; watter; water!'
"Eureka, I've found it!
My newest invention,
I will name you WATER!

Millions of years later in the lab of a human,
Scientists found that water is H2O.
A decade later, in a marvelous city,
Man could drink water,
Man could bathe with water,
Man could wash with water,
Man could produce energy with water,
But with all these, man could waste water.

In cities, children keep the tap on while brushing.
In deserts, children keep water as pocket money.
In cities, women waste water by using washing machines.
In deserts, people fight over pots of water.
In cities, people drink half the water and throw the rest away.
In deserts, people and cattle die because of water-shortage.
In cities, water is just a liquid.
In deserts, water is gold!

My dear fellow beings,
This is my plea and warning,
Accept it for a better tomorrow.
Deny it for a cruel fate.
You still have time, my friends.
Save water in every way you can,
Else you will not be saved from nature's fury.
Consider water as precious wealth,
So that you don't bring hell on this lovely Earth.

My Message to the TEENAGE

Whether you are thirteen or ninteen,
You are of course a teen.
Or should I say,
In my own way.
That, if you think,
That you are always right(and never wrong),
You are a teen all right!

You are today like a sculptor of your life,
Ready with your hammer, nail and knife.
Your sculpture is your life and character.
Its your choice to make life clearer or fainter.
Its your choice to follow good or evil,
Its your choice to follow God or the devil.

Never think that your parents are hopeless,
Or in your future, these wrongdoings you'll have to confess.
Never see your elders as burdens too,
For they have experienced this world more than you.
Never think that your parents are unaware about the modern world,
For they are the ones who brought you from the old to this new world.

When you think that your parents can't interfer in your life,
And only you have the right to die or strive,
Just look at your birth snaps,
In which you were sleeping in snowhite wraps.
Just look at the happiness on your parents' faces.
For them, that was more than all other glories and graces.
Can you imagine a teenage without your birth?
Can you imagine a childhood without your mother's loving warmth?

Make your parents remember those happy days,
In their life those were the greatest red-letter days.
Give them your thankfulness through your words and deeds.
For today, that is their greatest need.
